Skidaway

Skidaway Island is the most Southeastern part of Chatham County and is home to a 588 acre State Park, small shopping area, and residential areas of The Landings, Modena Island, and South Harbor. It is surrounded by Marshes, Rivers that have access to the Atlantic, and it borders the Wassaw Wildlife Refuge; attracting loggerheads, migratory birds, and pollinators. Locals access via the Whitefield exit of Truman Parkway or Traveling South on Waters Avenue until it becomes Ga 204-Spur/Whitfield Ave. Whitefield becomes the Diamond Causeway, and the only other way to access Skidaway Island is by Boat.
